Das Gebiet der regionale Appellation PGI Chania wird durch die Grenzen des gleichnamigen Bezirks im Westen Kretas definiert. Die Region verfügt über das kühlste Klima der Insel. Dominiert wird der Rebsortenspiegel von der Rebsorte Romeiko. Ergänzt wird das Angebot durch die Sorten Athiri, Vilana, Vidiano, Thrapsathiri, Macabeu, Trebbiano, Kotsifali, Liatiko, Mandilaria, Tsardana, Fokiano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Grenache Rouge und Syrah.
